When you’re on a good health program, eating healthy foods is key! These foods are loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats that will make your skin, hair, energy levels, and waist line thank you!

10 Foods to Eat for Beauty and Skin Health:

1.  Arugula

Arugula and other dark greens are loaded with vitamins A, C, E and K. They also have lots of chlorophyll (what makes the veggie green). This cleans your body from the inside out: cleaning your teeth, clearing your skin, and giving you radiant energy!

2. Berries

Berries are loaded with antioxidants. What are antioxidants you might ask? Simple: they are pigments of color! The richer the color, the more antioxidants they have. Which help fight aging by reducing inflammation within cells – whether it’s your immune system or skin.

3. Fish

We know fish are loaded with healthy omega 3 fatty acids. But do you know what these omegas are good for? From improving memory to helping combat depression, omega 3 fatty acids are also good for improving dry skin and giving skin a better texture. How’s that for skin confidence?

4. Red Wine

Red wine has an antioxidant called resveratrol that is good for your heart by increasing good cholesterol and preventing clogged arteries. Resveratrol is also being found in some skin creams now as this powerful antioxidant can improve the look of skin. You don’t need much though!

5. Olive Oil

Olive oil has been noted as a healthy oil for a while now, but new research and case studies show this oil is great for longevity: meaning living and thriving longer while looking ageless! Now that’s a health food!

6. Avocado

The healthy monounsaturated fats in avocado are great for improving hair and skin texture. Avocado can be used both internally (eating it) and externally, as a hair or face mask!

7. Seaweed

Seaweed can help with weight loss (it’s high iodine helps the thyroid do a better job) and detoxifying the body. It is also loaded with vitamins and minerals. And because seaweed’s cellular structure is so similar to our own skin, our skin absorbs these nutrients extra fast.

8. Raw Honey

Loaded with enzymes and pytochemicals pulled from pollenating flowers, honey bees go to work on keeping you younger be helping your body operate more efficiently. You can even dab a little of a zit to help reduce redness and swelling.

9. Sunflower Seeds

Sunflower seeds help with circulation, sharing blood and nutrients to all parts of the body. One of those nutrients, vitamin E, is great for repairing skin by building collagen and protecting against damage. Just watch the serving size for this health food!

10. Chocolate
